Blowering Cliffs Walk

Distance:  5km return (aproximately 3 hours return trip)

Grade:  Moderate to difficult

The walking track  to the cliffs starts from the parking area at the bridge over the Snowy Mountains Highway near Log Bridge Creek picnic area.  It is a 20 minute drive from Tumut or Talbingo.  The Blowering Cliffs are a set of outstanding granite cliffs overlooking the Blowering Reservoir.  The Blowering Falls occur where Ryans Creek passes over the granite cliffs.  The walking track goes to Blowering Falls and is quite steep in sections and passes through dense vegetation which grows on the damp, sheltered hillsides.  The last section of the walk involves navigating around rock slabs which have fallen fro the cliff above.
